Frequently Asked Questions
Some people worry that starting therapy means they will need to go for the rest of their lives. Thankfully, this is not the case for most people. I always aim to get someone back to their life quickly. It is not uncommon to see some improvement in just a few sessions and then decrease the frequency of sessions.
Yes, we are in the network with BCBS PPO and Blue Choice plans and Aetna PPO. Some insurance plans may cover “out of network” providers, which means you may end up paying less. If this applies to you, I will provide you with a superbill to submit for reimbursement. We can chat, and I will gladly walk you through this process.
Absolutely! I understand that people may work, be in school, or have other life commitments. Therapy should fit with your life, not add to your stress. I can offer evening appointments to fit your schedule best. When you contact me, we can discuss the times.

For people who do not use insurance, healthcare providers are required to notify each patient of their “Good Faith Estimate” of care. Below is more information as to what that means, and how to read more information.
Provision of Good Faith Estimate
- You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.
- Under the law, health care providers (including psychologists) need to give patients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
- You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
- You will be provided with a Good Faith Estimate by your healthcare provider before you schedule a service.
- If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
- For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059
